Citadines Shinjuku was the first hotel of our 4 week vacation traveling through Japan. It was a great location; only about a 15 minute walk from Shinjuku Station or a 3 minute walk from the Marunouchi Line, so it was extremely easy to navigate public transportation throughout Tokyo. It was close enough to the hustle of the main Shinjuku area, but far enough that it was super quiet in the hotel room. We were directly facing the street and heard no street noise at all. The staff were super friendly and got us checked in immediately. The room was a great value as it was residence style with a small kitchenette, refrigerator, two twin beds that seemed more like full size beds, TV with local channels and Netflix connect-ability, shower room with a large soaker tub, great water pressure, and our first Japanese smart toilet. The breakfast buffet is definitely worth getting as they have a lavish spread of Japanese and Western options. Otherwise, there are multiple convenience stores within 2 min walking distance; 7-11 and Family Mart each with surprisingly amazing food. There is also a small gym to use as well as washing machines and dryers for your clothes. The hotel is also a 5 minute walk way from the Shinjuku Gyeon National Garden, which is stunning. The daily housekeeping was perfect and they give you pajamas to wear. I highly recommend Citadines!

We have stayed at this property several times in the past but not since 2018. The apartment hotel remains a very conveniently located, well-managed one. Staff are always helpful and communication is easy. As there is a kitchen in the room, we did not use any breakfast provided by the hotel. The room is divided into a sleeping area near the window with a sliding partition separating it from the living/kitchen/bathroom section as you enter the space. Heating worked extremely well, particularly in the living space so that the sleeping area wasn't too hot. Wifi worked well with a password for the room itself. A convenience store is at street level and a few metres away. Many restaurants nearby and a larger variety of eating places around ten minutes' walk closer to Shinjuku station. Major stores like Isetan are within a short walking distance. In their basement is a huge food department. There is a subway station not far from Citadines. There are two Citadines in Shinjuku. We stayed at the apartment one with blue and yellow decoration on the front of the building which is on a main road which I have found a preferable less crowded and quieter location especially at night time compared to the Citadines Central Shinjuku which is in a side street closer to the main station.

The room was very large, and I liked having a bigger closet with multiple hangers to use during a longer stay. The little kitchenette and cookware were an added bonus. The washing machines were easy to find, and they contain their own detergent, so no need to buy or add your own. I also liked the complimentary coffee/espresso machine in the lobby. The nearest train station is a little bit of a walk away, and maybe not the most convenient one, but the hotel was close enough to walk to downtown Shinjuku to enjoy some shopping/eating. There's also a convenience store very close by. If you are an Ascott Star Rewards member, you also may be able to check in early.

The room was nice and big. Definitely for Tokyo standards. We had our son (9months) with us and he loved to go around the whole room exploring. The room itself was pretty basic, but had everything we needed. We loved the little kitchen area, we’re we could make ourself diner one night, cause we could not leave with the little one. The bed was really comfortable, sometimes the beds are really hard in Japan, but here it was nice. Staff was very friendly too, greeting us every night and helping us send our luggage to Hiroshima. The coin laundry was very helpful aswell So we had a very pleasant stay, thank you very much!

I loved this property, I decided to trust the reviews and I’m so glad I did. We stayed for 2 weeks on level 4, it was quiet at the back side of the hotel. Everything that was listed was indeed provided in high detail—It was a very comfortable stay. Black out curtains worked great and on the day we slept in they left a calling card offering to come back later. The cleaning was very thorough, such a blessing. Great shower pressure, massive deep bath I enjoyed. The woman who greeted me on arrival were very helpful. Also late checkout if you join the membership club !(12pm I think?) Thanks again team— I will return here next year!
